PARTsolutions of a German company
CADENAS GmbH introduces an intelligent upgrade solution for wide spectrum of CAD systems. To be specific these are
large libraries of native 2D and 3D standardized parts and also standardly produced machine parts and sets from
more than 200 top world manufacturers (Festo, Hasco atd.).
Besides these libraries it also contains specialized tools for interactive creation of
screwed joints and rotary parts and shaft-type rotary parts including threads, tooth system, fluting and other components.
The main contribution is its
platform independence both on the operation system (Windows, Unix), as well as on hosting CAD (support of more than 20 systems) and
native import of parts into CAD. Imported parts therefore have in CAD the same features as if you created them yourselves from the basic sketch.
FEATURES AND DESCRIPTION:
PARTsolutions is an upgrade catalogue application designed for more than 20 different CAD systems on the platforms
Windows and UNIX.
The main area of use is the fork with catalogues of standardized and standardly produced parts, performed through
Partdata Manager. Unique is the ability to import into CAD system a part or a set in native shape, which brings many advantages for practical use compared to the import from general formats.
PARTsolutions also includes many other specialized tools such as tool for creating screwed joint
PARTconnection, tool for creating shafts
PARTshaft, part list generator
PARTbom and others.
PARTsolutions is a solution integrated into more than 20 different CAD systems (e.g. CATIA, Unigraphics, ProEngineer, Microstation, SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Ideas MS, Cadkey, AutoCAD, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, etc.). The system, which generates the parts, provides not only generating of "native" part with full history of its origin but it also brings a full platform independence on the hosting CAD.
Standard version of PARTsolutions/2D+3D contains:
PARTdataManager - 2D+3D system of standardized parts and sets with configuration management
PARTconnection - 2D+3D tool for creating screwed joints
PARTshaft - 2D+3D shafts generator
PARTlibs - 2D+3D all available standardized parts and catalogues
PARTserver client access to PARTserver and updating services on internet
Import of parts in native format!
All parts are from PARTsolutions imported into relevant CAD program in native shape in a way to allow the constructor to create them in the environment of the given CAD system himself. That is achieved by using special technology consisting in the fact that each part is in the environment PARTsolutions saved in a form of special script describing step by step the process of creating that part. When importing the part this script really creates this given part through API interface into relevant CAD system from the basic sketch. Thanks to this procedure it is among others ensured that in each of the supported CAD system the imported shapes have the same features and the same history.
Ensuring the import of parts in native shape is compared to import from some of the general exchange formats (DXF, STEP, …) explicitly much more advantageous. The sets are real sets with possibility move the individual parts and with ensuring the mutual relationship and respecting the collision rules. The part is possible to be modified or to remake some secondary parts from it. Other contribution is preventing mistakes in interpretation or viewing the part, which sometimes happens when importing from exchange formats.
Catalogues of standards and parts
Catalogues PARTsolutions contain almost a thousand lines of standards and hundreds of standardly manufactured industrial parts from roughly 200 manufacturers.
The number of included standards and manufactured parts keeps increasing and updating therefore the list included in here does not have to be complete.
The users of PARTsolutions have an access through update of catalogues on internet to the newest actualizations continually 365 days a year.
PARTsolutions contains besides the standards DIN, EN, and ISO also some assorted
lines of standards ANSI, ANFOR , and UNI.
ČSN (Czech state standards) or SN (Slovak standards) are not at disposal
and thanks to the general transformation to the European standards they probably won’t be at disposal in the future either.
