CATIA V5

CATIA V5 is a complex solution for all industrial fields. It excels especially with its functionality of "hybrid modeler", which means that it combines both surface as well as solid elements in one model. It is this freedom to choose the modeling technique and possibility to combine them at any time that makes CATIA such a strong system. A big advantage is also the possibility of voluntary parameterization. Thanks to that the constructor can decided whether the part is going to be parametric and therefore he can use the advantages of parametric modifications or whether he makes all changes using the modification of individual elements. All modules and modeling techniques are integrated so the changes of individual models or elements appear immediately also on the related parts. Of course there is also support of creating a Digital Mock-Up and Concurrent Engineering.
CATIA V5 is set to allow easy choice of solution that would fully suit to requests and processes typical for the user. The core of this model is the configurations created by each product, set up into three different platforms: P1, P2 and P3. Each platform is focused on the specific level of customers needs:
CATIA V5 P1 (platform 1) deals with the basic modeling and is designed for small and medium manufacturing-oriented customers. Platform P1 includes possibility of methodology development for the customer from interactive D2 drawing up to fully digitalized processes of the product development.
CATIA V5 P2 (platform 2) offers unique environment for creating a digital company using the modeling of the products, processes and sources of the given company. That supports the whole life cycle of the product starting from the conception design up to the very production. It allows creating designs based on the knowledge using the intellectual capital of the company to support the technical thinking, creativity, and innovation.
CATIA V5 P3 (platform 3) maximizes the efficiency of the specific advanced processes. It brings advanced innovation with unique and very specialized applications for integration of professional knowledge of the products and processes
